Collections Manager, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian

Cali Martin is a Collections Steward at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington, DC. In this role, she oversees all aspects of storage, safety, security, access, care, and emergency management for the NMAI collections and loans on exhibit. She collaborates across departments, facilitates exhibit work and collections access, and provides educational opportunities and training to NMAI and SI staff as well as across Indian Country. She is Kaw (Kansa) and an enrolled member of the Osage Nation. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a master’s degree in museum studies in 2011 and the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology in 2008.
