Louisa Lam
Senior Security Officer, Metropolitan Museum of Art
Louisa Lam is a Senior Security Officer, and she has been with the Metropolitan Museum of Art for nine years. Louisa was born and raised in Honolulu. She graduated from the University of Hawaii with honors, and briefly studied at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific. She is an avid surfer, practices Wing Chun and acrobatics. She moved to New York in 2001, three days before 9/11, and earned her Master of Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in creative writing, poetry. She’s waited tables, worked public relations, and edited everything from medical journals to recipes. She lives in Queens, New York. She has been published in New York Magazine, The Greensboro Review, and the Met’s Perspectives series as working artist in collaboration with Abang-Guard.
