Samuel J. Redman is a Professor of History at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is the author of three books, most recently “The Museum: A Short History of Crisis and Resilience” (NYU Press, 2022). At the University of Massachusetts, he teaches courses on U.S. history, public history, and oral history.
