Sergeant, Office of Protection Services, Smithsonian Institution

Security Sergeant Rosalind Hubbard of the Smithsonian Institution possesses over 25 years of experience in security. In her current role, she specializes in Executive Protection, supervises officers, provides leadership and direction daily, and participates in emergency planning programs. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sgt. Hubbard spent 17 years in the private sector there, and safety and security have been her priorities since the devastating 9/11 attack. She attended John Jay College, and her passions include physical fitness and customer service. Her goal when entering the Smithsonian museums is to make one person’s life easier for a moment, whether that be by accommodating with a wheelchair, finding a missing child, or assisting with medical attention.
