The Getty Villa is pleased to offer a variety of dining options before each performance of Memnon, as no outside food or beverage will be permitted during this event.
On offer are a selection of fresh local salads, specialty appetizers and handcrafted hot entrees, all carefully selected to complement Memnon. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, beer, white wine, and our signature cocktail/mocktail — the Golden Shield — are also available to pair with your meal.

Each fall, this series features a classical tragedy or comedy in The Getty Villa’s dramatic Outdoor Theater, a venue modeled after ancient Greek and Roman theaters.
With bold, vivid language and gripping dramatic conflict, Memnon tells the tale of a powerful Ethiopian king who journeys to the city of Troy to engage in battle during the Trojans’ darkest hour. This epic tale from the Greek mythological canon has been overlooked for over a millennium. Until now.
About the CompanyThe Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) is an American theater company that tells stories through the lens of the African diaspora. CTH combines original adaptations, music, and dance to present great classics of world literature and contemporary works that will stand the test of time. Since its founding in 1999, CTH has presented works ranging from traditional classical playwrights (Anton Chekhov, Euripides, and William Shakespeare) to established 20th-century playwrights (August Wilson, Langston Hughes and Jean Genet) to new plays by emerging playwrights. CTH also proudly provides theater-based training and live theater experiences to Harlem youth and their families through its arts education program, Project Classics. The organization incorporates other theater-related programming including Future Classics, Playwrights’ Playground, and Revisited Classics to engage new audiences, invest in artistic development, and give exposure to emerging creators.

Name badges are needed to board the shuttle bus.
If you miss the shuttle, you will need to find your own way to the venue.
If you are not staying at either the Luxe or the Hotel Angeleno, you can take a ride share to the Luxe for the 12:45 p.m. departure or you can simply take a ride share to the Getty Villa located at 17985 Pacific Coast Hwy, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. Following all the events for that day and evening, the buses will be returning to the Luxe hotel.
If you are local and wish to drive yourself, please contact Les Borsay (lborsay@getty.edu ) directly so that Getty Villa parking reservations can be made for you.
No smoking or vaping on Getty property. The Getty campus is big; if you need to smoke you would have to take a car or walk about 1 mile (20 minutes) to get off the property. Attendees should plan to not smoke for the duration of the day’s programming. Smoking is not allowed anywhere at the Getty Center or Getty Villa Museum, including parking garages, arrival areas, and adjacent bus stops. This includes cigars, pipes, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, chewing tobacco, tobacco-related products, or any controlled substance.

The Getty Villa Museum is located in a canyon, so some mobile devices do not receive a signal.
You can connect to the free wireless network GettyLink in most galleries and at most public seating areas. Signal strength varies with location. Wi-Fi is not available in the parking structure.
